What one should not do with a steam mop?

First things first, never use steam mop on a surface before cleaning it with a broom or a vacuum cleaner because when you apply steam mop on a dirty surface, little quantity of water present in the steam, makes the floor even more muddied and dirty. If you are adding tap water to the water tank then it is advisable that you first remove or dilute the calcium present in it, this can be achieved by adding soft water to it. Finally you should not hold steam at one particular place for a long time in running condition, as it may end up damaging the surface.
